Professional Graduate Master's Degree Program in Genetic Counseling
Guidelines for registration in the graduate program selection process
Before enrolling, students must complete an admission entrance exam. During the annual registration period (as specified in the official notice), candidates are required to submit the following:
a) A completed and signed registration form;
b) For Brazilians, a copy of their identification card (RG) and a copy of their CPF; for foreigners, a valid passport;
c) A Bachelor’s degree certificate or other full degree diploma (or proof that the student is currently enrolled in the last year of their course);
d) A copy of their academic transcript;
e) A copy of their updated Lattes curriculum (for Brazilians only);
f) A copy of their English language proficiency certificate (*).
g) Self-declaration form, for those applying for reserved seats for Black, Mixed-race (Pardo), or Indigenous candidates as provided in this notice. The self-declaration must be completed by submitting the signed form, following the template available in the publication area of the selection process notice at (https://www.pos.ib.usp.br/ingresso/editais-dos-programas)
h) One photograph for review by the Hetero-identification Committee, for those applying for reserved seats for Black or Mixed-race candidates as provided in this notice. The photograph must be produced in accordance with the guidelines presented in item 3 of this notice.
Applications must be sent to the email address mestprof@ib.usp.br with the required documents in PDF format. The registration will only be finalized once it is complete and the candidate receives a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of the full documentation.
(*) The English language certificates accepted by the Program are: TOEFL (iBT) (62), TOEFL (Computer-based) (177), TOEFL (Paper-based) (500), TOEFL ITP (500), TOEFL iBT Home Edition (62), TOEIC (600), IELTS (5,0), ESLAT (5,0), FCE – (First Certificate in English, Cambridge), CAE – (Certificate in Advanced English, Cambridge), CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English, Cambridge), Certificate of Proficiency from Centro Interdepartamental de Línguas-FFLCH/USP (6,0), União Cultural Brasil – Estados Unidos (Reading Comprehension, 60% minimum), Versátil Idiomas (60%).
